About the 2026 NPPA Conference (page 1 of 9)


National Pharmacy Purchasing Association (NPPA) members and conference attendees are part of an elite country-wide network of pharmaceutical-purchasing professionals interested in expanding their knowledge and skills. NPPA has been planning and hosting annual conferences since 1997! No other national pharmacy organization recognizes the importance of purchasing within the pharmacy profession.

Join NPPA and your fellow Pharmacy Purchasing professionals from across the country for the 29th Annual 2026 NPPA Conference from August 17-20, at the Horseshoe Las Vegas Hotel & Casino in Nevada. The event starts with an Opening Reception on Monday night, August 17 from 4:30pm to 6:00pm. The educational program begins Tuesday, August 18 at 8:30am (breakfast starts at 7:30am) and ends Thursday, August 20 at approx. 2:00pm.

Network and learn the latest trends in Pharmacy Purchasing! All sessions highlight Pharmacy Purchasing topics and include 8-12 hours of ACPE-accredited CE for Technicians and Pharmacists. Share experiences with your fellow Pharmacy Buyers and build relationships with your Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) representatives as well as exhibiting vendor companies that serve hospitals and health systems. One of the best ways to share your experiences is to become a speaker. We will ask if you are interested in speaking as you complete this registration.

340B University is an optional event on Monday, August 17 from 8:00am to 4:00pm (before NPPA's Opening Reception that starts at 4:30pm). The 340B University is sponsored and hosted by the HRSA 340B Prime Vendor Program (PVP) managed by Apexus, one of NPPA's 2026 vendor-exhibitors. NPPA Conference highlights:

  • Pharmacy Buyer training and education specific to the pharmacy procurement specialist, with many speakers being fellow Buyers who understand your daily challenges and needs.
  • 8 to 12 ACPE-accredited CE units included with the registration fee for Technicians and Pharmacists. This normally includes the required 1 hour of Pharmacy Law and occasionally the Medication/Patient Safety CE requirement.
  • Note: This year the participating Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) will have exhibit booths in our Exhibit Hall alongside the pharmaceutical companies exhibiting (instead of holding GPO Breakout Sessions as in the past). Please be sure to meet and talk with your facility’s GPO executives with any questions or feedback. Companies that usually join the NPPA Conference are HealthTrust, Premier, and Vizient.
  • 65 to 85 Pharmaceutical Company Exhibitors that service hospitals and medical centers, displaying in exhibit booths. Meet their representatives and view their products and services during our 2 days of Vendor-Exhibit Hall hours on Tuesday, August 18 and Wednesday, August 19.
  • Breakfast and lunch for each day are included with your registration fee. Snacks are also provided during the Vendor-Exhibit Hall on both days.
  • Opening Reception for attendees with food, drinks, and prize giveaways is also included with your registration. Held Monday night August 17 from 4:30pm to 6:00pm. Co-sponsored by NPPA and a vendor-exhibitor to be determined.

Roster information: Indicate below your preference for being included in the conference Roster for Attendees. Inclusion in the roster allows attendees to network after the show, as well as having contact info for all the speakers, GPO reps, and exhibiting vendors in attendance. Schedule & Location of Events

Educational Program

Educational Program lectures and speakers are currently being determined. Lectures are expected to have between 9-11 ACPE-accredited Continuing Education (CE) units for pharmacy recertification. They normally include the required hour for Law and sometimes for Patient Safety.

After the first CE lectures are added, those details will provided on the Educational Program & Events Schedule web page.

Call for Speakers

Although our educational program is now full, consider becoming a conference speaker next year! Speaking can be rewarding for you and your career as well as supporting your fellow Buyer colleagues by sharing expertise.

Becoming a speaker also helps cover your costs including complimentary registration and up to 5 hotel nights (other expenses and/or speaker fee are negotiable). Lectures range between 15-20 minutes and up to 55 minutes.

RSVP for Provided Meals (page 5 of 9)


Indicate below to be included in any of the daily meals during the conference. Meals are included with your paid registration, but you must RSVP to confirm. Due to potentially undetermined or changing travel or social plans, NPPA will follow up with all registered attendees before the conference begins to confirm your responses.

Locations:

  • Breakfasts & lunches are provided in the Horseshoe hotel's Gold Ballroom on the ground-level convention floor next to the lecture hall.
  • Opening Reception is held on the 26th floor in SkyView rooms 5/6.

Meals policy: Breakfasts & lunches are only available to registered pharmacy and GPO attendees. They are included with your registration fee at no additional cost, along with Opening Reception food and drinks.

Opening Reception guest passes: Offered for friends or spouses of registered attendees at an additional $60 per pass (limited to one guest 21 or older, per attendee). Guests must not be employed by a pharmacy, hospital, or drug company. Contact NPPA to request an order/agreement form, to be paid separately after NPPA approval. All guest passes must be requested by the end of day on August 5.

Pharm-to-Table Lunch Mixer: Exhibitor reps are now invited to join attendees for the Tuesday and Wednesday lunches. Only one or two reps per company will be allowed. Exhibitors have asked for more time to socialize with the pharmacy attendees, and their generous funding and contributions greatly help support the conference. We are excited about this new offer and hope it works for everyone.

Choose an option below for Pharmacy & GPO attendee registration to the 29th Annual 2026 NPPA Conference (at Horseshoe Las Vegas hotel from August 17-20). Includes current NPPA member registration or option to renew or add a new annual NPPA membership (less than the cost of non-member registration).

Becoming an NPPA member saves you $10 off the registration fee. Location: For your convenience, the Horseshoe hotel rooms in NPPA's block are in the Resort Tower, which is also where all the NPPA Conference events are held (lectures, exhibits, reception, breakouts). This means all events are easily accessed from the elevators of your Horseshoe rooms, down a short hallway to the meeting-space areas.

  • Dates available for NPPA room rates: Sunday, August 16 through Thursday, August 20 (plus 3 days before and after, although on a limited basis).
  • Main Room Rate of $79/weeknight plus tax, applicable for either 1 King bed or 2 Queen beds, single or double occupancy.
  • Resort Fee of $35/night plus tax is ONLY discounted for NPPA—otherwise now $49.95/night plus tax if not reserved under NPPA’s block. Discount on the resort fee for NPPA block remains regardless of the main room-rate guarantee deadline.
  • Resort Fee includes (daily): In-room wi-fi for 2 devices, fitness center access for 2, and free local phone calls.
