About the 2025 NPPA Conference – Welcome! (page 1 of 10)

Join the National Pharmacy Purchasing Association (NPPA) and your fellow Pharmacy Purchasing professionals from across the country for the 28th Annual NPPA Conference this September at the Horseshoe Las Vegas Hotel & Resort (formerly Bally's) in Nevada.

The event starts with an opening reception on Monday night, September 29, from 5:00pm to 7:30pm. The educational program begins Tuesday, September 30 at 8:30am (breakfast starts at 7:30am) and ends Thursday, October 2 approx. 2:00pm.

Network and learn the latest trends in Pharmacy Purchasing! All sessions highlight Pharmacy Purchasing topics and include 8-12 hours of ACPE-accredited CE for Technicians and Pharmacists. Share experiences with your fellow Pharmacy Buyers and build relationships with your Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) representatives as well as exhibiting vendor companies that serve hospitals and health systems. One of the best ways to share your experiences is to become a speaker. We will ask if you are interested in speaking as you complete this registration.

340B University is an optional event held before NPPA's Opening Reception on Monday, September 29, sponsored and hosted by the HRSA 340B Prime Vendor Program (PVP), managed by Apexus, one of NPPA's 2025 vendor-exhibitors. Details and registration with Apexus for this complimentary event will be provided later.

NPPA Conference highlights:

Pharmacy Buyer training and education specific to the pharmacy procurement specialist, with many speakers being fellow Buyers who understand your daily challenges and needs.
8 to 12 ACPE-accredited CE units included with the registration fee for Technicians and Pharmacists. This normally includes the required 1 hour of Pharmacy Law and occasionally the Medication/Patient Safety CE requirement.
GPO Breakout Sessions to meet and learn from company reps of your facility's GPO in breakouts during the NPPA program. Participants usually include HealthTrust, Premier, and Vizient.
85 to 100 Pharmaceutical Company Exhibitors that service hospitals and medical centers. Meet their representatives and view their products and services during our 2 days of Vendor-Exhibit Hall hours on Tuesday, September 30 and Wednesday, October 1.
Breakfast and lunch for each day are included with your registration fee. Snacks are also provided during the Vendor-Exhibit Hall on both days.
Opening Reception for attendees with dinner, dessert, and open-hosted bar is also included with your registration. Held Monday night September 29 from 5:00pm to 7:30pm. Co-sponsored by NPPA and a vendor-exhibitor TBD.

Educational Program

Educational Program lectures and speakers along with the timeslots for all lectures and events are being determined. Lectures will include 10-12 Continuing Education (CE) units for pharmacy recertification.

Call For Speakers

Help fill remaining lectures in the Educational Program roster by becoming a conference speaker! Speaking can be rewarding for you and your career as well as supporting your fellow Buyer colleagues by sharing expertise.

Becoming a speaker also helps cover your costs including complimentary registration and up to 5 hotel nights (other expenses and/or speaker fee are negotiable). Lectures range between 15-20 minutes and up to 55 minutes.

Opening Reception for Attendees (with dinner buffet & open bar): Held Monday September 29 from 5:00pm to 7:30pm on the 26th floor in SkyView Rooms 5/6. Co-sponsored by NPPA and a vendor-exhibitor TBD. Includes an open-hosted bar, dinner buffet, dessert, and prizes. Arrive early to enjoy the spread and allow extra time to meet and network with your fellow buyer colleagues.

Educational Program: Includes ACPE-accredited CE lectures that start Tuesday September 30 approx. 8:20am and end Thursday October 2 approx. 1:30pm. All lectures will be held in the Platinum Grand Ballroom, accessed from the Grand Salon area when you first walk in from the hotel convention room hallway.

Meals: All meals will be offered in the Gold Ballroom. Breakfasts start approx. 7:15am on Tuesday & Wednesday and approx. 8:30am on Thursday. Lunches start around noon on all 3 days.

Vendor-Exhibit Hall: Held on Tuesday September 30 & Wednesday October 1 in the Event Center at the other end of the Grand Salon & Ballrooms. Open from 2.5 to 3 hours each day, in between lectures. Snacks will be provided by NPPA, and prizes will be given away by exhibitors as well as NPPA.

340B University event: Offered in the Gold & Silver ballrooms on Monday, September 29 as an optional add-on in conjunction with the NPPA Conference. This is a complimentary event with pharmacy CE credits, sponsored and hosted by the HRSA 340B Prime Vendor Program (PVP), managed by Apexus—also one of NPPA's vendor-exhibitors. Details and registration with Apexus for this complimentary event will be provided later.

RSVP For Provided Meals (page 5 of 10)

Indicate below to be included in any of the daily meals during the conference. Meals are included with your paid registration, but you must RSVP to confirm. Note that breakfasts and lunches are only for attendees—exhibitors are not included and guest passes do not apply.

Guest passes for the attendee opening reception are offered to each pharmacy attendee for an additional $50 per pass. Guests must not be involved with the NPPA Conference nor employed by a pharmacy, hospital, or drug company.

To order a guest pass, contact the NPPA office to request an order/agreement form, which will be paid for separately after NPPA approval. Limited to one guest (21 and older) per attendee. Guest passes must be requested by end of day September 22.

The National Pharmacy Purchasing Association (NPPA) continues to build a growing network of pharmaceutical-purchasing professionals who are interested in expanding their knowledge and skills. No other national pharmacy organization we know of recognizes the importance of purchasing within the pharmacy profession.

Note that NPPA members are eligible for a reduced registration fee to attend our Annual NPPA Conference. Renew or add a new annual NPPA membership to go with your attendee registration (page 8), and your total cost will be $10 less than the cost of a non-member registration (without adding a new NPPA membership).

If your NPPA membership is not current through September 2025 and you have chosen the current member registration fee, NPPA will contact you to confirm status and provide options to correctly update your registration. To book under the “NPPA 2024” Group Room Block at Horseshoe Las Vegas (formerly Bally’s) for sleeping rooms in their Resort Tower now that our custom reservation site has expired (as of August 15)—please call the hotel directly to make your reservation.

The hotel's sleeping rooms in NPPA's held block are in the same location as NPPA's educational program and event areas in the hotel's Resort convention floor. The convention rooms were all upgraded with new paint and carpet, in December 2022.

Win a Free Hotel Night! Book your room under the “2024 NPPA” Group Room Block at Horseshoe, to be eligible for 3 chances to receive a check after the conference to reimburse you for one of your room nights in full ($65 and $35 Resort Fee plus taxes). By using our final room reports from the hotel, all registered NPPA pharmacy attendees will be entered in a random drawing where we pull 3 lucky attendees to be reimbursed for 1 hotel room night’s total cost. Exclusions for this promotion: GPO, Scholarship & Speaker-Attendees, and Vendor-Exhibitors do not qualify.

Dates available for 2024 NPPA Block room rates are: Sunday August 18 through Thursday August 22 (with 3 days before & after available on a limited basis).
Main Room Rate of $65/weeknight plus tax, applicable for either 1 King bed or 2 Queen beds, single or double occupancy.
Resort Fee of $35/night plus tax is ONLY discounted for NPPA guests under the “2024 NPPA” Block—otherwise now
$40/night plus tax to other hotel guests. Discount on Resort Fee for NPPA will remain in place regardless of the main room
rate guarantee deadline.
Resort Fee includes (on a daily basis): In-room wi-fi for 2 devices, fitness center access for 2, and free local phone calls.
Rate Guarantee: The $65/night room rate is guaranteed through July 17 (ends at midnight Pacific Time), when booking under NPPA’s block—and may continue to be available after July 17 depending on the hotel's capacity. However, our discounted Resort Fee rate will still be guaranteed through the date of show start, so be sure to continue booking under NPPA’s room block to get the lower Resort Fee.
Online Res Site CLOSES on August 15th at midnight Pacific Time. After this date, only reservations by phone will be available under NPPA’s Group Block, since the online customized room reservation site will close after that date. Just be sure to give our “2024 NPPA” group name to still get the discounted Resort Fee of $35/night (instead of $40/night), which will remain in place up to the start of the show (does not expire). Incidentals: At check-in, the hotel charges $50 per night to your credit card to cover incidentals during your stay. The entire held amount minus incidental charges to your room, if any, will be refunded back to your card 7-10 business days after you check out.

Parking Fees for Hotel Guests: If you rent a car for your trip, note that self-parking for registered hotel guests is $20/day (or for non-lodgers, $20/day Sunday through Wednesday and $25/day Thursday through Saturday). However it is free if you are a Platinum, Diamond, or Seven Star Total Rewards member of Caesars property hotels.
